Living in Abundance

“… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 NKJ).

Life on earth is very short and precious. According to Bible standard, seventy is the least years anyone may enjoy living in God’s creation. So how’s everyone going to spend these seventy years living along other humans? The best move is to enjoy every moment of it. Take the most of each and every waking days of your life.

Eternity is endless. Life there is more than 70 years, more than 500 years, more than 1,000,000 years, more than 1,000,000,000 years. It is forever. Consider how your appearance looks like when I see you in 1,000,000,000,000,000 years from now? Will you change? The scripture says we are being renewed from glory to glory. If that is the case, I might not recognize you after zillion of years beginning from now.

“And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1John 5:11-12 NIV).

Jesus offers you a “more abundant life.” This life is not just a meaningful life as millions of Christians believe. This life is exceedingly great and infinitely vast, and difficult to understand due to the magnitude awesome of its glorious and majestic life of God. This life is full of His power and ability and might. This life is the creative power of God that gives life to the dead.

However, this life of God can only be received and experienced by faith, through faith, and in faith. This abundant life is more than a feeling, more than a material or physical manifestation, more than being joyful, happy and fulfilled. This life is the very life of God living inside of you, with His grace, His mercy, His righteousness, His peace, His truth, His glory, His holiness and His anointing.

Having the life of God is to have the very life of God in you. You need to realize that being born again is not just to make it to heaven, but to receive His life. And this life of God can be, should be, and must be experienced in the planet earth. Millions of Christians sincerely believe that eternal life is in heaven only. They have no clue what it really meant.

“In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. … The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” (John 1:4, 9 NIV).

A victorious Christian knows how to live according to the life of God that is in him. He walks not in darkness but in light. His pathway is bright and it is ever increasingly brighter and brighter as the day goes by. There is never a gloom day. There is never a depressed moment. There is never a confused mind. There is never a defeated spirit. He has no fear in the face of the enemy. Even in darkest valley, he will not fear evil. God leads him to triumph in Christ. Defeat is not in his vocabulary. His place is on the top only and shall never be at the bottom (Deuteronomy 28:13).

The life of God is the nature of God and it is residing inside of you. When you received Christ in your heart, you then receive God’s nature. At that moment you only have one nature, and that is the nature of Christ living in you. In you is the Christ, the Anointed One. You have the anointing of God in you.

The anointing in you breaks all the power of darkness. It removes burdens and destroys yokes of bondage. It frees you from all torments. It gives you courage to overcome fear. It gives you the power and the ability to gain wealth. It gives you freedom from every works of the devil. The anointing protects you from evil, and no man can be able to stand before you.

“The time has come,” he (Jesus) said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news” (Mark 1:15 NIV).

During His earthly ministry, Jesus declared the kingdom of God has come. He preached repentance but focused mainly on challenging His listeners to believe. The only way to receive a true repentance and to receive the kingdom of God is to believe. If you cannot able to believe what Jesus has done for you, then you disqualify yourself from the blessings of God.

The message of Jesus right at the beginning of his ministry is to encourage his listeners to BELIEVE. Without believing, it is impossible to please God. Millions of Christians are unable to receive the reality of the life of God because of unbelief. They listen and hear the teachings of God’s grace and His goodness and His glory, but in reality they cannot experience it. Unbelief is the culprit. But how do you believe?

The answer is to listen to the teachings of the Holy Spirit and not to the teachings of men. The teachings of men are men’s rules and traditions. It has nothing to do with the Word of God, because His Word, they are spirit and they are life. It takes revelation and the opening of the spiritual eyes of listeners to understand the wisdom of God. But how do you have an opening of the spiritual eyes?

The apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians and for the Colossians to have their spiritual eyes be opened and see the goodness and the riches of God. That they may see the abundant blessings God has given them. That should be our prayer. The Body of Christ should learn to pray the right kind of prayer. We don’t ask for the things that we already possess. Instead we just have to give thanks to God for the healing, for the prosperity, for the deliverance, and for the salvation.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of the sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19 NIV).

Jesus fulfilled Luke 4:18-19. Fulfilled means it was a done thing. It was accomplished. Every word in that scripture is supposed to manifest in every believer’s life here on earth. Every believer should be enjoying the reality of the good news in their life. A believer is freed from the works of the devil. A believer is surrounded with favor. A believer is supposed to be rich and not poor.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich” (2 Cor 8:9 NIV).

To be rich is the will of God. To be poor is the will of the devil. Millions of Christians have been taught that being rich is not the will of God. Well, Jesus wants you to be rich, because He became poor so that you may become rich. This is Biblical and this is the truth. The context of 2 Corinthians 8:9 is material and physical giving and receiving within the early worldwide churches. Paul was teaching the early church the wisdom to use riches for the work of the ministry.

If a local church is financially poor, it will never be a blessing to the world. And this is the opposite of being a child of Abraham. It is God’s covenant that Abraham is to be blessed and be a blessing to many nations. Abraham will not borrow money but lend. But this is the Old Covenant. We have a better covenant in Christ Jesus. The Body of Church should be financially rich and rule the world economy. But we are not teaching and exercising this truth. As a matter of fact, many attack this truth and accuse this teaching as heretic.

God is a rich God. No one has ever proven that God is poor, no one. Only a fool will accuse God that He is a poor God. If your Father in Heaven is rich, then how come you are poor? Who has the problem, you or God? The problem is that people don’t want to accept their mistakes and they don’t take responsibility for their error. They always blame God. They foolishly say that it is the will of God that they suffer for this and that or whatever. That God is teaching them to be humble, to be patient or to be close to God.

Well, great men and women of God in the Old Testament were very close to God and yet they don’t live in poverty. As a matter of fact, they live in excess. God has given them super abundance and exceeding material blessings that their enemies and surrounding nations fear them. Their God is too much. Even in the midst of worldwide famine (worldwide economic disaster) their God is their source and they were blessed.

The truth of the matter is majority do not want to live in poverty. The Bible described living in poverty is a curse. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Let us challenge those who opposed the “prosperity gospel” as they say. Let them live in poverty the rest of their lives. And let us see how they feel living in the curse.
