“No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17NKJ).
As a child of God you have been given a heritage by your heavenly Father. It is a blessing the moment you were born in the kingdom of God. In addition to your heritage, God has declared you righteous in His sight and in the presence of all spiritual beings, and that includes the accuser of the brethren who is the devil. The devil knew that you have been made the righteousness of God. It means you have a right standing before God, free from guilt and condemnation of sin, and without sin consciousness.
Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, God has declared you justified in God’s heavenly court of law. Justification means just as you have never sinned. Christ offered His eternal blood for the redemption of your sin and the effects of sin in your life. Therefore, sin consciousness has been wiped out forever. In Christ, you become a new creation and become a partaker of His divine nature.
• “… by which have been given to us exceeding great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, …” (2 Peter 1:4).
The abundant grace of God along with His everlasting forgiveness through the blood of Jesus washed our sins away. When you come before the presence of God in prayer and worship, you have the boldness to enter into His throne of grace, where you can find help in times of need. This inherited righteousness is your blessed key to a meaningful fellowship with the Father and joy in the Holy Spirit.
The word of God declares that the devil cannot touch you. The truth is, the devil has no power and authority to inflict pain and suffering to the children of God. The devil has no legal right to render such illegal actions against you.
• “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him” (1 John 5:18 NKJ).
The only way the devil can be able to influence you and your life is through the words that coming out from your lips. By speaking evil, you are declaring the devil’s lies. Speaking evil is a declaration of acknowledgement, agreeing and believing the words of his evil lies. By speaking evil, you have given him the right and opportunity to inflict evil manifestations in your life.
• For “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit” (1 Peter 3:10 NKJ).
Jesus exposed the works of the devil. The devil came to steal, to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10). The devil has formed all kinds of weaponry to destroy your faith and he will attempt to bring you back into his captivity. But be of good cheer, his weapons are destined for failure and they shall not prosper against you. His weapons have zero capacity not harm you; they are like a roaring lion but have no power to maul you. All the devil does is roar, making a lot of noises with no effect. His weapons he use most is lie. He is a liar from the beginning. He perverts the truth. Therefore, he would attempt to accuse you, condemn you, place guilt in your heart and mind, and push you to the edge and become a rebel against God, and ultimately to bring doubt to His word.
The only way the devil could be able to put a hold on you is when you doubt the word of God, and come into an agreement with the devil’s lies. The scripture tells us that anything that is not of faith is sin. When you doubt God’s word, you become in agreement with the enemy. The devil’s lies become your words and you become the channel of his lies. When you speak of his lies, you give the devil the right and the authority to manifest his lies in your life. Consequently, you are letting your guard down and allowing the deceit and lie of the enemy to destroy you. You must learn the lesson of the Garden of Eden: They believed, agreed, and had spoken his lies, and therefore they succumbed into their death.
As a child of God, you inherited the authority of Christ over the devil and his works. When his lies and judgment comes before you, you have the power to condemn it:
First, know that the devil has no power and no authority to touch you. As a matter of fact, the devil had to asked permission from Jesus in order for him to torture Peter. But Jesus had already prayed to the Father that it shall not happen to Peter.
• “And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; …” (Luke 22:31-32 NKJ).
You see, the devil has no authority to touch your life unless it is allowed by the Father in heaven. And the only reason the Father allows such a thing is because of your sin. You need to renew your mind and convince yourself that the devil has no power and authority to harm you. You are a member of the Body of Christ, and the Holy Spirit dwells in you. You are a holy vessel of the Living God, and the devil cannot touch the holy things of God.
Second, condemn every negative word that has spoken against you. Use your mouth and your lips to execute this strategy. Every word that is coming out of every mouth has the power to manifest into the physical realm. Every word of the enemy has the word of God watching over it. Resist the devil and he shall flee away from you. During Jesus’ earthly ministry, He silenced evil spirits by His command presence. Evil spirits even begged for Him to not to destroy or annihilate them. Jesus used the power of the Word of God in His lips. Jesus rebuked the devil three times in the wilderness by quoting the written word of God. And the devil left Jesus alone. Do you want the devil leave you alone? Then quote the Word of God all the time (Matthew 4:1-11).
Third, dismantle the lies of the enemy. It is a fact that people have negatively spoken to us. They have even put a curse against us and so on and so forth. They have wished our downfall or even our death. But the Word of God has declared that we can be able to dismantle or put those evil words into no effect. We can bring them to an end because they are powerless and ineffective.
• “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:23 NKJ).
Jesus told His disciples that they can uproot mountains in their life through the power of the word in their lips. Jesus challenged them to speak to their mountains to cast its self into the sea and it will obey them.
Fourth, speak the Word of God in every negative situation and circumstances in your life. Declare the positive word into the things that are not according to the will of God in your life. Speak and declare the awesome goodness of God into your circumstances.
• “I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness in the great assembly: indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know. I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your loving kindness and Your truth from great assembly” (Psalm 40:9-10 NKJ).
Lastly, learn to thank God. In everything give thanks unto God because He is good and His mercy endure forever, and His faithfulness they are new every morning. Give Him the praise. Give Him the glory.
