You Are More Than a Billionaire Actually

You can live like a billionaire if you want to. It’s just a matter of knowing someone. And that is you. If you only knew who you are and what you have in Christ, you can happily outlive the most powerful and influential people in this world. Money is out of the question. The fact that money loses its power against the unforgiving terminal disease that will slowly eating your life away, what else are your choices? You cannot remain crawling on the ground and allow the devil to stomp you over and over again into hardships and pressures in life.

Take trust. Broken relationships are witness to the many who lost self respect and confidence after someone had cheated them behind their back. You can’t buy trust. What about worry? Paranoia will arrest your heart because of worry, fearing that you may slip back into privation. Money can’t buy freedom from fear, guilt, and insecurities. How about joy? Real joy is from within. It is a spiritual force that can only be received from the power of Spirit of God.

Jesus gives the world a food for thought in Matthew 16:25-26, “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?”

The Apostle Paul trashed everything he had for the sake of knowing Christ. He enjoyed living over and beyond anyone’s expectations. He reigned in life. If you are a child of God, you will reign in life if you are willing. It’s your choice. You may remain defeated in life if you want to. However, tendency is you may be joining those who have nothing else to do but whine. Most whiners are those who are ignorant of what they have in Christ. By the way, there is no whiner in the kingdom of God.

“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17 NKJV)

Because of Adam’s sin, death reign throughout humanity, but in Christ Jesus the believers will reign in life. If you are a believer, it is guaranteed that you will reign in this present life and throughout eternity. You begin reigning in life the moment you are born in the spirit of God. There’s no waiting time for the activation of your right to reign. You don’t have to be in heaven to experience it. You can enjoy it right now.

Almost every believer has some knowledge of the grace of God. They have been overwhelmed by the teachings of salvation by grace through faith. But majority of them have little knowledge of the gift of righteousness of God. They knew they are saved by grace and that’s all. Most of them are ignorant of what they have in Christ. Didn’t you know that one of the precious spiritual blessings in Christ is the gift of righteousness? And there’s more.

The gift of righteousness is the act of God whereby all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are brought into the right (righteous) relationship with Him. The believer is made right (the righteousness of God) with God. The believer has been made free from sin, free from guilt, and has been justified. The gift of righteousness literally means God has justified man and has freed him from sin and from the guilt of sin. Therefore, man is declared innocent and thereby not guilty of any offense.

The believer has all the right to enjoy his freedom. He can face his accuser without fear, with a sense of dignity and self worth. Just like Jesus when He told the adulterous woman, “Where are your accusers?” As a believer, no one has the right to accuse you of any fault or sin because there’s no ground to indict you. By the blood of Jesus your sins have washed away forever.

The word “reign” means to possess or exercise sovereign power, to exercise authority in the manner of a monarch. Reigning in life is the exercise of authority of the believer against the devil and against the kingdom of darkness. This authority is given to you by God. Because of the gift of righteousness, you have the right to exercise your authority as a child of God and reign in life.

There is no excuse for such a weakling in the Body of Christ. The believer has to step up to the plate and allow the word of God to manifest in his life, and let the abundant blessings in Christ pour him exceedingly without measure. Because the love of God was shed in your heart, therefore, fear has no grip upon you. Sin has no power against you. You take authority over sin, sickness, diseases and even poverty. You take authority against the wicked spirits of this world. You take authority over the lies of the devil and every lies of this world.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)

Because of the gift of righteousness, you have the authority to condemn every tongue that judges you. They can maliciously judge you, but they will not succeed. You need to understand that their judgments against you are condemned. When lying tongues slander you, you don’t need to defend yourself because their tongues have been condemned. No need to fight against them, but only to rejoice. Jesus said to rejoice when they falsely accuse you and persecute you for righteousness sake.

The truth is the devil will never win against you in the fight of faith. You must realize that you are fighting a fight that has already won by Jesus Christ when He was nailed on the cross and at the resurrection. The only way the devil can overcome you is to sway you to believe in his lies. The devil will try to conceal the truth. But you can overthrow the devil and his cohorts the moment you understand the results of the death and resurrection of Christ.

Jesus gave His church the marching order to go and make disciples of all nations. He said that all authority has been given to Him in heaven and on earth. And He will be with the church always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:18-20).

After His resurrection, the Lord Jesus has given all authority in heaven and on earth. And you have been commanded by the Lord Jesus to exercise this authority in making disciples and in teaching the word of God. Every child of God has the responsibility to make disciples. The Lord is expecting each one to obey His Word. He promised that He will be with you always.

Jesus expects His church to begin the work with force and with authority. You have to put on the whole armor of God. Consider the breastplate of righteousness and the shield of faith. Let the Spirit of God submerge you into His presence. Allow the Spirit to pray within you. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to give the church the power and the ability to finish the job.

“Isaiah 54:14, “In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.”

Establish your heart in the righteousness of God. The power of darkness and the devil cannot harm you. Oppression and terror shall not come near you. You are fearless. You are bold and strong. You can handle pressures, negative situations. The Word of God will sustain you.

You will overcome the world by faith. By faith you have been justified. By faith you have been saved. By faith you have been made righteous. By faith you have been moving mountains. By faith you have been enjoying all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. By faith you have been reigning in life.

  1. Ephrem Hagos says:

One cannot give up one’s life for the sake of Christ whom one does not know personally. What motivated Paul, the model apostle to the Gentiles, “to trash everything he had” was Christ’s personal self-revelation in whose grace and knowledge he could grow and abound.

Without a secure firsthand knowledge of Christ, we cannot even have sustainable faith to stand up and fight the Devil! It’s a lost cause in which the Devil keeps winning against Christians! We are missing something here. God help us.

This is where the pulpit ministry comes in. The teaching of the integrity of the Word of God without compromise along with the prayer of Paul in Ephesians 1:17-18, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”
