No Weapon Will Prosper Against You

Discover the goodness of God in Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV).

“No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

As a child of God you have possessed a heritage from the heavenly Father. This is your birthright the moment you were born in the kingdom of God. You have become righteous in His sight and in the sight of every spiritual being, and that include the devil. The devil knew that your righteousness is not your own, but the righteousness of God in Christ. Through Christ’s death and resurrection, God has made you righteous and has declared you justified in His court of law. And subsequent to your justification, God have made you free from guilt and from all condemnation of sin. Indeed, your sin consciousness has been wiped out forever.

Therefore, once guilty conscience creeps into your heart, purge it. Eradicate it with the abundance grace of God, with His everlasting forgiveness, and with the blood of Jesus that washed away our sins. And when you come before God in prayer, or in worship, or in service, you have boldness in your heart to enter into His throne of grace where you can find help in time of need. This inherited righteousness, is your key to a meaningful fellowship with the Father and joy in the Holy Spirit. His word says that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

The Bible has revealed to us that the devil came to steal, to kill, and to destroy. And he has formed all kinds of weapon to destroy your faith, and he will attempt to bring you back into his captivity. However, his weapons are destined for failure and they shall not prosper against you. They have no capacity to harm you; they are like a roaring lion but have no power to maul you. All the devil does is roar, making noises with no effect. But be on guard, because the weapon he uses most is lie. Indeed, the devil is a liar from the beginning. He perverts the truth. He would attempt to accuse you, condemn you, and push you to rebel against God and to doubt His word.

The only way the devil could be able to put a hold on you is when you doubt the word of God. The scripture tells us that anything that is not of faith is sin. Therefore, if you doubt God’s word, you are putting your guard down, and allowing the deceit and lie of the enemy to destroy you. You must learn the lesson of the Garden of Eden: A subtle lie, a deceptive perception, and a twisted truth, caused Adam to fall and succumbed to his death.

As a child of God, you inherited the authority of Christ over the devil and his works. When his lies and judgment comes before you, you have the power to condemn it. Dismantle the lies of the enemy, and don’t allow it to brood in your mind and in your heart. Use the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and cut it off into pieces that you may be able to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. Your heart and thoughts shall dwell in the light of the word of God, and by doing so, the devil has nothing to do with you.

Praise God! This is your inheritance in the Lord and your righteousness is with Him.
