Now Word

Discover the goodness of God in Ephesians 3: 20 (NKJV).

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”

Our God is a big God. The apostle Paul knew about this. Paul had been in many difficult situations in life, almost to his death but he remained in high spirit and forever positive thinker and positive talker. At one time he wrote that he had desired to go home with the Lord but because of his work here on earth was not completed yet, he decided to stay for a little while. Prior to leaving earth, Paul said that he fought the good fight of faith. Can you imagine how he encourages the brethren to rejoice always while he was in prison? He knows the secret of being happy in the face of death, and with a joyful heart in the midst of life’s turmoil.

The difference between Paul and the inhabitants of planet earth at his time is that Paul knows his God very well. His secret of success: “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…” His God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all the he ask or think. That ability of God is according to God’s power that continuously working in Paul’s life.

Paul gave the Ephesians how he views his God. His God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. For example, if you ask God for a dollar (according to how much you could able to ask or think at the time); God will give you a dollar. However, God is also able to give you a million dollar if you are able to ask or think a million dollar. To God, there is no difference between a dollar and a million dollar.

How about asking God to save your children or your family from the works of evil? Drugs, crime, unwanted pregnancies, rebellion, sickness, and all kinds of immoral acts are out there and ready to devour them. You have to take a stand and ask God for the big stuff especially if your family is involved. Money cannot buy or reverse your marital problem; only God who does exceedingly abundantly above what you think or ask can do the job. God is able and willing to heal your little sweet daughter or son from any kinds of terminal sickness and diseases. As a parent, you have the obligation to fight for the rights of your child to be healed and enjoy life. Don’t let the devil steal her precious life. Ask God beyond what you think. But a religious mind does not ask or think that way. Only a faith man and a woman ask God for the big stuffs.

It’s about time that you think big. You already heard many, many times to think outside of the box. Do so. And don’t put God in the box. The earth and its richest belong to God. However, the children of darkness are the ones who are using and abusing what should have been the property of the children of light. The billions of billions of dollars that was spent to naught by private corporations of this country should have been used in the kingdom of God. And there shall be no poor in the family of God. There shall be no looser in the kingdom of God. To be a Christian is not to be pitied, not to be a burden, not to be free loader, and not to be another pain in the neck of an unbeliever.

The Scripture above tells us that God respond even to the most profound supplications, desires, wants, and needs. No one can put a price tag on how much God is able to give you. God is a God of plenty. If God is able to give His only begotten Son, how much more is a simple prayer request for our daily needs, or for a miracle of a lifetime? Although sometimes there are things that do not fit in our situations and have no clue on how our needs will be met, God knows. Because “… He does great things which we cannot comprehend.” Job 37:5.
