Election Process: Whose Side is the Sovereign Lord

The United States once again showed to the world how cool the Americans are when it comes to Election Day. It went all peaceful amongst the candidates and their supporters. The losers gracefully accepted the lost and the winners celebrated civilly.

Evidently the Church is practically divided in many ways when it comes to politics. Inside the booth, people voted according to their judgment and choices. The Church has never messed around with people’s choosing for the candidate or propositions and so forth. Nevertheless, the biggest mystery of all is the poll result. Whose side is the Sovereign Lord?

There are even churches and denominations that spent hours of prayer and fasting for their candidate and propositions to win. Some event tempted to join the political process, of course, there is absolutely nothing wrong to be a politician or get involved in. As a matter of fact majority of the signers of the US Constitution are Christians (At this moment, there are socio-political quarters that challenging the legitimacy of this claim.).

But as the body of Christ, we have a mandate from our Lord Jesus – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations …” (Matthew 28:19).

This is where many believers have been missing the point. They missed the role of the Church in changing the world and to dominate it. The Church needs to wake up and turn this world up side down once again. But how can we effectively accomplish it. It is by going out there, preaching and teaching the word, and making disciples one step at a time.

Sadly, many beleivers of today spend the bulk of their time in programs, performance and entertainment. They forgot the making of disciples. Today’s discipleship is far different from the ways of the early church. People nowadays freak out the moment they hear the word “discipleship.” It is because the devil has perverted the system. Discipleship has turned into messing around other people’s personal and intimate business. Discipleship has become a controlling of someone’s life. People were choking on it and they suffocate on the program. Their leaders (who disciples them) have turned into a slave driver, or becomes their boss man.

Jesus set up the ways to make disciple. First, he became the servant of his disciples. He came to serve them. His disciples didn’t serve him. Second, he fed them with the word of the Father. Jesus didn’t just teach and preach out of his opinion or ideas. His word is the very word of the Father. Third, Jesus showed them how to live the faith of God. Fourth, Jesus explained to them the kingdom of God. And the list goes on.

Praise God because at this very moment, there are men and women of God that boldly teaches and preaches the word of God without fear and without compromise. They preach the unadulterated Word of God, and people are being saved and become disciples, the same as the early church when the disciples fearlessly preached the word.

“…, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand” (Acts 4:4 NKJV).

“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all” (Acts 4:33 NKJV).

“And the word of God spread, and the number of disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem …” (Acts 6:7 NKJV).

“And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made disciples …” (Acts 14:21 NKJV).

Praise God because the kingdom of God is advancing all over the world, especially in the remote places of the planet. We have more people of God that opened their hearts for the ministry of word than 20 years ago. Preachers and teachers of the word have become younger and younger, full of the Holy Spirit and zeal. These are all good stuffs, but the devil has been working very hard to put a stop on the word.

“And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.” (Matthew 11:12 NLT)

Since the beginning of the preaching of the Kingdom of God, the devil has been using people, indirectly and directly, to slow down the progress of the propagation of the word of God. The devil has his influence in people of all aspects of life. The vast majority are the religious fanatics. Some belong to public and private sectors with all of their “agendas and causes” to have dominion in our society and of the world.

After the Election Day, there are believers out there felt they were abandoned by God, while others they were heard by God. If we really want to have a positive impact on the life of people around us, or change the world per se, then it’s about time the believers focus on the preaching and teaching of the Word of God – one soul at time.

In Mark 4:26-29 Jesus told his disciples about a principle of the kingdom of God. A farmer sowed seeds on the ground, and then went on to his routine daily activity life without ever thinking how the seeds grew. Harvest time came and he puts in the sickle.

God wants us to produce disciples, not just converts. Disciples are to be taught with the word, not with church program and activities. I know a church that lost their youth program because the young people there were not fed with the word; rather, the fellowship became a social gathering – a hang out. And when the testing of faith came, they collapsed like a building without a foundation.

I have also known a handful of believers who have received the pure word of God faithfully. These are the true disciple of Christ. Their faith is robust. They can stand the storms of life. Although they are not that many; however, they are trully disciples for Christ. They are prosperous, blessed and happy. They have great and awesome impact in the Body of Christ. They are well enough in financially supporting missions and other church ministries.

Discipleship or I would say, the process of teaching the principles of the Kingdom of God, teaching/preaching the Word of God, takes time. There is no short cut for producing crops. Those who expects great harvest overnight are delussional and spiritually deceived, walking according to their flesh.

Again, there is no such thing as instant wealth in the kingdom of God. There is a process, and it takes time in everything: preparing the ground, planting the best seeds, and then wait for harvest time. The same holds true for a ministry. There is no such thing as instant mega church, or instant “the founder” of a ministry. You cannot steal or covet other people’s blessing, or position. As a matter of fact, wealth that is possessed illegally is evil – obviously. Unless you behave like Esau, who did not care about his birthright, he sold it to Jacob for a bowl of soup. It is evil to steal someone’s birthright.

The point I’m making is that believers should and must plant the seed of the word of God in every people’s heart. If we have the burden to change the world. Going on to be a politician is a choice between and your God. If God calls you to be one, then go for it. We have to do this very aggressively, forcefully advancing the Kingdom of God, preaching and teaching the word uncompromisingly. In propagating the word of God, we have to utilize every new technology and advance science we have in this generation.

To answer the question “Election process: whose side is the Sovereign Lord? The Lord always sides on His children. The children of the kingdom mind God’s ways and His will. We are the ambassadors for Christ. We represent the kingdom of Christ. In the very near future, all the kingdoms of this world shall vanished and burned into ashes, and their kings and rulers shall not be remember no more. But our Lord Jesus remains forever as the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is Lord!

Sin Shall Not Have Dominion Over You

“For sin shall not have dominion over you …” (Romans 6:14 NKJV)

The Apostle Paul presents us another great and awesome revelation of who we are and what we have in Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul gives us insight on the believer’s “dominion” over sin. His basis premise is that a born again believer is not under the dominion of sin any longer. Sin has no legal power, has no legal right, and has no legal claim over a redeemed child of God.

Paul is not talking about sins. He is not discussing sins we commit during our daily functions, either consciously or unconsciously missing the mark. Paul is dealing with the Sin problem. Sin is the very nature and personality of the devil. It is evil. It is sickness, disease and death. It is the curse. It is the root of all fear, hatred, rebellion, annihilation, madness, suicide, deprivation, poverty and among other destructive things in this world.

To understand that SIN has no dominion over you, you have to accept and believe Romans 6:6 (NKJV) “Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.”

When Christ was crucified on the cross, our old man which is our old sinful nature (the nature of the devil) was also crucified with Christ on the cross. Our old sinful nature was nailed on the cross and it was crucified there. It was left there on the cross and it was forever done away with. When Jesus was raised from the dead, our old man/old sinful nature remained dead. It did not rise from the dead. It is dead and was done with once and for all. Romans 6:10 (NKJV) “For the death that He died, He died once and for all.”

Romans 6:4 (NKJV) “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

We need to have a grasp on this that when Christ was buried, we were also buried with Him. Our old man was buried also with Him. And when Christ was raised, we were also raised with, in the newness of life – without the old sinful nature, without the old man. We don’t have our old man/old sinful nature living in us at this moment of time. The old man is dead and done away with. As a believer, we don’t have the old sinful nature living in us.

Some believers think and believe that they posses a dual nature: the old sinful nature and the nature of God. This is not scriptural. How can you have the nature of God and the nature of the devil living in one body?

Romans 6:11-12 (NKJV) “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in lusts.”

Paul is admonishing us to think and to consider that we are dead to the power and dominion of sin. The only way sin can dominate us and have influence over us is to allow sin to have control over us. But we are not that stupid and dumb to just take the devil’s lies, and then roll over and absorb all of the devil’s beating.

The word “reckon” means to think and to consider. We need to renew our minds regarding this truth. The truth is that sin has no dominion over us. It has no legal rights, no power or whatsoever to entice us to be controlled and serve sin. We have to reject and resist every pleading of this sinful nature in order for sin to dominate us. We shall not be under sin, sickness, poverty and lack. We have been freed from the dominion of sin, sickness, poverty and lack.

When Jesus was here on earth, he exercised his rights and authority over sin and dominion of sin. He healed all kinds of sickness and diseases and cast out every foul spirit. He took authority and stand on his legal rights according to what is written in the Word of God. You see, healing is a legal right of every believer. The devil has no legal right to put sickness and disease in your body. Read and meditate Matthew 8:16-17 (NKJV):

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness.”

You see, Jesus cast the devil out and healed all the sick with His Word. His Word is our legal document, our covenant, our legal rights and privileges as a child of God. The devil is the same liar. He will try to hide the truth from you. But the Apostle Paul says to reckon, to consider, to think or to take action regarding your rights and dominion over the devil and dominion over sin. The truth shall set you free.

“But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.” (Romans 6:22 NKJV)

Romans 6:22 is your current status in the faith. This is how God looks upon you. This is your current position in the heavenly. Even at this very moment, the devil knows that you are living in accordance to Romans 6:22, but he will challenge you. But you have been set free from sin. Sin has no dominion over you. Sin, sickness, diseases, poverty and lack has no power over you. If you continue to live according to this legal standing of yours, then the fruit of holiness shall bear without effort from you. The fruit of holiness shall bear normally because you live without sin.

Tell the devil to shut up and get out in the Name of Jesus. Resist the devil and he shall flee away from you.

God’s Grace and His Gift of Righteousness

“… much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17 NKJV).

One of the many devastating tools the devil uses against a believer is self-condemnation, a feeling of unworthiness, a sense of not doing enough to please the Lord. This consciousness of fear of failing to meet “the par” to please God is all based on legalism. Legalism is founded on human standard. It is extremely subjective; it reacts according to a person’s feeling – depressed, guilty, confused, satisfied, etc.

This feeling of unworthiness or guilt or condemnation have arrested many believers and placed them in spiritual locked-up. Because of the guilt and feeling of not doing well for the Lord, their faith become paralyzed, there is no boldness to resist the devil, to cast-out evils spirits, rebuke sickness and diseases, command blessings to flow into their lives.

A good example is prayer. Just how much time a believer should spend his time in prayer to please God. Or what behavior a believer should maintain to please the Lord. Or how do a believer acts, talks, dress, show his/her feelings in public or in private to please His maker. Where and what is the standard of human behavior, feelings, thoughts and emotions in order to please God? And who makes that determination or who is going to draw the line if a believer has failed or passed? Don’t tell me it’s another human being who likes preaching “self-righteousness” by spitting out don’t do this and don’t do that? Give me a break!

I could not stand someone preaching over my face on how to be holy and to be righteous in order to please the Lord, because that person is not qualified to admonish me so. There is no one holy or righteous in the sight of God – no one! And he is not a judge either.

A good example is healing or baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many could not receive their healing or the baptism of the Holy Spirit because some hot shot preacher at many times has condemned a whole congregation of believers. The preacher went on to say, “You cannot receive your healing or the baptism of the Holy Spirit because you are not pleasing the Lord for doing this or that.”

Healing and baptism of the Holy Spirit is not received according to our performance or by obeying certain regulations and man-made laws of behavior. We receive God’s miracles and His Holy Spirit by faith. Paul rebukes the Galatians because they are falling on this trap of the enemy. It is a deception.

“This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? … Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (Galatians 3:2-5 NKJV)

We need to go back and major on the basic foundation of our salvation and redemption which is in Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (NKJV)

Now, the righteousness of God is freely given to all who believe in Jesus Christ. It is the gift of righteousness. A believer in Christ becomes righteous in the sight of God not because of his own merit, not of his performance, not according to his obedience of man-made laws or the “does and don’ts” of his denomination or local church. The gift of righteousness is received and appropriated by faith alone.

“But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
(Romans 3: 21-24 NKJV)

A believer who is conscious of his position in Christ, especially him (believer) who is made righteous in the sight of God, everything becomes possible to him (believer). Sin consciousness is eradicated in his mind, in his thoughts, in his feelings, in his vocabulary, in his consciousness. He is free from every condemnation of the devil, free from every accusation of guilt, falling short, not good enough to please the Lord.

Read Hebrews 4:16. Because there is no more feeling of condemnation or feeling of guilt, or accusations from the devil, we can enter boldly to the throne of God’s grace and there we shall obtain mercy and God’s grace in time of our need.

We don’t need to pray long prayers assuming that long prayers will change the mind of God and answer our petitions. God does not answer our prayers according to works. He answers our prayers because we put our trust in Him and in His Word. For without faith it is impossible to lease Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Again, no one can buy his salvation or put a price a tag of his place in heaven. Good works, following man-made rules and regulations, obeying denominational laws, self-imposed righteousness, subjective doing what is “right” and “not right” are all works of the law. Our salvation is based on the redemption of Christ alone. It is through the act of God’s mercy and grace, His love that we are saved. Even the faith that we have used to obtain salvation is from God. The saving faith is not even ours. The saving faith is from God, it is the gift of God so no one should boast.

You see, salvation is not based on how we feel. We don’t judge ourselves that we are saved because we woke up on the right side of the bed feeling great and feeling saved. Our feeling has nothing to do with our salvation. Salvation is by faith. Faith has no feeling. Faith is the absolute surrender of our selves and trust in the Word of God and in trust in Him and in His promises. Our feeling has no bearing on the will of God, in His Word and in His promises.

If you are a believer in Christ, then you are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). You are righteous in the sight of God and in the sight of all spiritual beings. You can access God’s grace without limit. You can possess what belongs to you. You are healed in the Name of Jesus. You cane receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues because the Holy Spirit is a gift for you to possess.

Having therefore declared by His Word and that through His grace and the gift of righteousness, in Christ Jesus, we reign in life. Yes, we are above only in life. We are absolute on top of everything no matter how bleak our circumstances are. We are world over comer because of the faith of God that is in us. And we always triumph in Christ, all the time.

Growing in the Knowledge of Him

“May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2 NLT).

“Knowledge is power.” We hear this many times, especially in school days from the lips of teachers and classmates, even at workforce, management motivates employees to keep-up to the current information technology and so forth and so on. Human nature desires to win in every aspect of life’s challenges; it could be in sports, academics, politics, entertainment, relationships, in business, and even world domination. It is a desire for glory and gain. Human nature invented a subtle way to neutralize his opponent – it is to “put him in the dark.”

To “put him in the dark” means to isolate an adversary from all knowledge of your plans, strategies, strengths, capabilities, abilities, and your weakness and ignorance. You set him-up to fall into your traps. You take advantage of his ignorance and his ignorance of the rules of the game.

To some extent, there are men and women in this corrupt world who trained themselves to operate in this hideous “chess game” tactics. It is a tactics of taking advantage of every opportunity, and ultimately to destroy business partners in the name of self-gain and self-exaltation. Their ultimate objective is to win at all costs – it is to profit for self. The spirit behind the motive is evil ambition and greed. It is the very spirit of Satan.

Obviously, we know that the devil is a loser and is always a loser. God has already condemned him even before the foundation of the earth, and Christ Jesus has defeated him on the cross and His resurrection. You need to realize that the children of God are fighting against a defeated foe. The only thing left for the devil is to lie and bluff. If you rebuke him and resist him in the Name of Jesus, he will run away like a lunatic. You see, don’t be scared of his antiques and scare tactics. He is just a bluffer.

The devil is out there setting-up every believer for failure. The enemy is waiting for an opportunity to devour a non-prepared believer, a believer who is ignorant of the truth, and ignorant of the ways of evil. A believer who opens his heart to evil-thought becomes a doorway for Satan to steal, kill and destroy. The devil hides the truths from believers. He lies. He condemns. He keeps his subjects in the darkest corner of ignorance. He will attempt to confuse and distort truth of the Word of God. Because the devil is the god of this world, he has the authority and the power to seal this world from the truth.

Sad to say, many believers are ignorance of all these. Their spiritual eyes are not fully open to see the subtle works of the enemy. Not only the works of the enemy, but millions and millions of Christian have little or have no idea of their identity in Christ Jesus. Many of them have no clue of what power and authority they have in the Name of Jesus.

Listen to the prayer of Paul to the Ephesians and Colossians.

“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better” (Colossians 1:9-10 NLT).

“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 1:19 NLT).

The bottom line of this prayer is asking God for spiritual insight, spiritual understanding, and spiritual knowledge of the power of God that is already in the possession of a believer. A believer possesses the incredible power of God inside of him, but many of believers are ignorant this truth. Instead of living in a victorious life, they live a life of defeat, a life that is just coping to survive, living a life of a continuous struggle, living the “false-comfort” of poverty, and they thought and foolishly believe that this kind of life glorifies God.

You see, faith is based on what you really understand and believing it for. It is not enough to know the truth. You need to be sold out on what you believing for. No matter how they torture you mind, your emotion, physically and spiritually, you stand on what you believe, because you know for sure, beyond any reasons that you understand and know what you are believing for.

Billions of people are longing for peace and grace from God. They spend billions and billions of dollars (or whatever the highest currency or value) just to find peace and grace for the entire planet, or for a single confused and deteriorating soul. But they could not find the answer. The same holds true with millions and millions of church goers, they can’t find peace and grace of God because their eyes are blinded with hardness of hearts. They rationalize with God and always searching to justify their errors and mistakes.

A very good exemplar is divorce. Until now, Christians are justifying that divorce is alright because Moses allowed them to do it. However, they are blinded to see the results and the outcome of divorce. It is quite amazing and incredible to witness men and women who go for second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and so on and so on numbers of divorce, without any sense of guilt and conviction. One divorce should have been a call for repentance, for renewing of the mind, for mortifying of the flesh, and humbling before God. But the hardness of their heart continues in justifying the lust of their flesh and their pride of life.

You see, divorce is not God’s will. But people still do it. They justify it because Moses allowed it or gave them the permission. But the real issue is the hardness of the heart. Divorce should not have been an issue if and only if men obeyed the will of the Lord in the first place. I believe that the devil has his hay day in every-living daylight of a divorced person, because that person is living as a result of the hardness of his heart. It takes the mercy and the grace of God to rescue him from the torture of the enemy.

The more we have the knowledge of God and Christ, the more peace and grace abound in our lives. It is a must that we agree with the prayer of Paul to the Ephesians and Colossians so that the eyes of our understanding will see the power of God that is within us. And when the eyes of our understanding is open, then we will see God’s goodness, His mercy and grace, His favor, His strength, His provisions, His anointing, His healing, His salvation and deliverance from all works the enemy. Your outlook in life shall change 180 degrees. You will never approach God like a beggar and beg for the things that you already have.

You will approach the throne of God with boldness and have fellowship with the Father. You are not there to ask for anything because He has already provided you all things that you supposed to have in living Godly life. You are in His presence to give Him joyful thanksgiving and praise for the provisions, for the grace and for the peace.

You prayer changes drastically. Your prayer is not self-centered anymore. Your prayer is not about you asking for yours only. But now you are praying for others, you are now interceding; you are praying the prayer of Paul for your church, for your friends and co-workers.

Who Do You Think You Are

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23: 7)

“And who do you think you are anyway?” You hear this pompous remark many times from the lips of all levels of life, as if these arrogant cantankerous know what they’re asking about and know who they’re dealing with.

One of the billions of victims of this inquisitive probe was Jesus the Son of the Living God. During his earthly ministry, Jesus suffered ridicule, persecutions, humiliations, and attempts of murder from the hands of religious fanatics and the so called “bible-scholars.” These self-righteous “religious gang bangers” hated Jesus so much that they wrongfully condemned and hanged him on the cross.

You see, they can’t handle the truth. Because the truth will mess up their beliefs system or doctrines, destroy their man-made religious creed, and make their theological foundation into confusions.

When Jesus told them that He is from above and that the Almighty God is His Father, they flipped out. They totally lost their cool and went berserk. As if almost everybody there on the scene was asking for a baseball bat and slug the foul spirit out of Jesus. They could not ever imagine or think that a flesh and blood (Jesus) was actually saying that God (Spirit) is His Father. In reality, Jesus was way too much for them. He was blasphemous – as they declared. And they conspired that He was worthy of death.

It is true that you are what/who you think you are according to your heart. Your heart is your spirit. If you are a born again believer, then you are a New Creation in Christ. As New Creation, your spirit possesses the very life and nature of God. The same with Jesus’ continuous declaration of who He was with the Father, as a believer, you also do the same – to constantly declare with your mouth that you have the life and nature of God in you. You are not committing a lie every time you speak the truth of who you are and what you are in Christ, because they are facts of life and nothing but the truth.

You can tell if someone knows his rights and privileges as a believer, or knows who he is and what he have in Christ. You can tell it by listening to what they say when they pray. An ignorant believer prays ignorant prayers. An ignorant believer prays without confidence of receiving the things he’s petitioning. He is confused to when and where he is to pray “If it is your will …” He has no boldness in using the power of the Name of Jesus.

Instead of spending many hours of crying and begging for God’s answer to your prayer requests, it is “faith-wise” and “faith-practical” to pray the Word of God instead. Declare God’s already given provisions to you as a child of His. Thank Him and praise Him for He has already given you all things, all the free things to enjoy in this present life.

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we needed for living a godly life…” (2 Peter 1:3 NLT).

“Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?” (Romans 8:32 NLT)

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ” (Ephesians 1:3 NLT).

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1 NLT).

You see, if you are in Christ Jesus, you are already blessed with all the blessing that you needed to live a practical life here on earth. You don’t have to wait for the time you go to heaven to enjoy life. You need to understand that Eternal Life is not a “unit of measure” on how much years and years you are to live in heaven. That is carnal thinking. Eternal Life is the very life of God and the divine nature of God that is given to you the moment you are born again. It resides in your spirit.

The devil does not want you to know these truths. Because once you have that revelation of your identity in Christ Jesus, then you can be able to whip the enemy in the Name of Jesus. However, if you live according to the lies of the enemy, then you are the most miserable thing in the face of the earth. Quality of life on earth is by choice; it is not by designation. God said to choose life.

Jesus came to give us life, a life that is more abundantly. It is not a life of lack. It is not a life of pain and suffering. Jesus took all our pain and suffering and nailed them on the cross. Jesus became sin for the forgiveness and cleansing of our sins once and for all. Jesus took care of the sin problem and sin consciousness by His blood. Jesus became sick that we may become healed from sickness and diseases. Jesus became poor that we may live rich. Jesus became a curse that we may be free by the curse of the law.

You see, Jesus died, was buried and resurrected from the dead. If Jesus resurrected from the dead, then how much more God the Father will give us the blessings, not only spiritual blessings but material and physical blessings as well. In Ephesians 4:23 “… and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” It is the responsibility of every believer to renew his mind according to the word of God – His will. Ephesians 5:17 says, “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

The more you understand what belongs to you (spiritual, physical and material) as a child of God, then your mind is quick to be renewed according to God’s ways and thoughts. You come out led by the spirit and not led by the flesh. And when you walk and led by the spirit, no demon in hell can stop you from doing the works of God, for greater is in you than he that is in the world.

You must think what is in your spirit. You are not a weakling believer. You are a bold believer. You don’t allow the enemy to bully you, because no man can stand before you all the days of your life. You always triumph in Christ Jesus. You are not a complainer, grumbler and a whiner. You firmly stand on your foundation, which is the word of God. You say in your heart, “Let all men be a liar, but not God.”

If the enemy challenges your revelation of the word of God, stand on your ground, resist him and shut him up in the Name of Jesus. You don’t allow the agents of the kingdom of darkness to bully you with their “so-called intellectual arguments” or “so-called brainy theology” that loves to show off their “acquired knowledge from books”.

Some self-proclaim theologians are just like parrots. Some copy knowledge from other self-proclaim theologians. Some borrow what other people’s commentaries. There is no fresh revelation coming out in their spirit. Remember, the letter kills but the spirit gives life.

The Living Word

Jesus said in John 6:63 (NKJ) “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”

It is a fact that those who spend time in meditation of the Word of God and practicing them in their daily activities of their lives, are the ones who really experience that the word of God is alive, real, and “it works.”  When I say “it works” it is because the Word of God is practical and it has profitable results.  It gives solutions to problems, it meets needs, and it answers questions regarding life’s issues.  Yes, it is the answer to life’s mess.

For example, here is a practical application of the Word of God (down to earth): If all men and women of the whole wide world are to read, meditate, translate and put into practice the first nine chapters of the Book of Proverbs, then and then, adultery, infidelity, sexual immorality, sexual perversions, divorce, and more divorce, yes more divorce are going to be minimized.

Yes, read these chapters in as many different translations as you can get, and reflect on it, and be honest about your (whatever) weakness in life.

If there is a major Godly message that the children of God needs to hear and practice in their daily life, it is the first nine chapters of the book of Proverbs.  It is amazing that there has never been a number one best seller book that talks about divorce and adultery.  It is because all are guilty of it.  Jesus said that if you put your eyes on a woman with lust, you just committed adultery in your heart against her.  That is not a legalistic take on the Word, but it is Jesus’ spin on adultery.

Sad to say, if there is a great sermon in the pulpit that millions of fire blower preachers’ are cold to “herald” a message, it is a message of divorce and adultery.  Again, sad to say, where are the few and real good men of this generation that has the courage and boldness to say, “I love my wife just like Jesus loves the Church.”

You see, this Word of God is life. And it is able to change the attitude of your heart, has the power to change the behavior of your mind, and affect the way you execute your choice in life.  You are going to make a choice based on what is right to do.  Millions and millions read the Bible but there’s no impact in their personal lives. Why? It is because they approach the Scripture as another book lost in billions of books in a library.

Many thought that the Bible is just another written prose and poetry, a religious historical book, a literary compilation of myths or legends.  Some thought that it is a traditional church or religious advisory book that provides a bunch of suggestions on how to have a godly life.  Others go to the extreme and sincerely believe that it is a holy book, and that no one should mess around with it.

A person who receives the enlightenment or discovers that the written Word of God is alive and that it gives life to one’s spirit, that person shall never be the same again.  That person has just crossed the bridge of ignorance, and passed through the spiritual darkness and death, and has arrived at the feet of Jesus and ready to receive the unlimited revelation of God’s Word.

Sad to say, some men and women of God that supposed to be teachers and preachers of the Word of God, have nothing to say or deliver messages from God.  Yes they can preach alright, but it is a mere dead words coming out from a lifeless spirit.  It has no power in it to give life to a dead spirit, it has no power in it to give healing to a broken heart, and it has no authority in it to heal the sick and those who suffer from diseases.

The only way to enjoy and reap the fruits of the life of God is to have a continuous feeding on the living Word.  The living Word is not ink and paper; it is not a mere written word, but the written of God that has the life of God in it.  A person can be able to haul volumes and volumes of religious articles and books and stock them in his memory bank, but they are useless until the Word becomes real and becomes alive in his heart.

One of the many ways the devil blocks the reality of the word of God from believers is the denominational doctrines, dogmas, and creeds.  Majority of these man-made doctrines are blanket statements not designed to edify the church, but to set up a perimeter to defend what they are supposed to believe with.  It is motivated by ignorance; ignorance because they have limited the God of revelation and the fulfillment of prophetic utterance that is for us today and for the future.

The Word of God never lies.  Again and again Joshua chapter one and verse eight has proven that it is real and it works.  If you continue to meditate on the laws of God or the ways of God or the word of God; and you purposely continue to declare the Word and confess the Word, and practice the Word, then you will surely become a success and shall live in prosperity.

The Word of God is alive.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  That was Jesus the Son of God who became flesh and blood and mingled with us.  You see, the Word is life.  The Word is living and dwelling with us at this very moment.  The Word is in our midst every moment we gather in the Name of Jesus.  The Word is in our hearts and gives life, the very life and nature of God.

It is no wonder that the Psalmist kept on repeating himself that Word is his delight and he loves them and he meditates on them day and night.  The Word is the life of God.  They are spirit and they are life.  God send His Word and healed His people.

There is no other way that a child of God will grow in the faith and in the knowledge of God but through the Word of God.  To grow or mature in Him is to spend time with His Word. A child of God has to separate himself from the world and spend time to meditate on His Word. And not only meditate but to obey the Word. You see, a prophet of God declares that obedience is better than sacrifice.  However, this simple instruction from the lips of a man of God has been challenged by many, and because of disobedience many have suffered and many still suffering because they ignored and disobeyed.

James said that faith without work is dead.  And he followed this up by saying that we should be doers of the Word of God and not hearers only; because if we are hearers only, then we are deceiving ourselves.  This will answer millions and millions of queries and clears out confusions on why “good” people suffer or “good” Christians are living in hell on earth.

Jesus said that if we are to abide in Him and abide in His Word, then He will manifest Himself to us.  His manifestation in our lives is sufficient enough to destroy every work of the enemy.  The enemy is the devil, who likes to steal, to kill and to destroy the lives of millions and millions of people along with the lives of professing Christians.  Jesus is not a thief. God is not a killer. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are not the destroyer of the lives of people.

However, because of ignorance and hardness of heart, many blame God of their sufferings.  Didn’t you know that it is a terrible thing and it is evil to accuse an innocent person?  Jesus came on earth for you, for me, and for the rest of the world, to give life.  That life is a life of abundance.  It is not a life of sufferings. Jesus said that if His Word remains in you, you will bear fruits.  It is the fruits of the very life of God.  The fruit of the life of God is His wonderful awesome creation.  God created the entire creations and every creation was made good, and nothing was made bad.

Therefore, continue in His Word, so that you shall bear fruits.  It is the fruits that God was well pleased, because He said to His creations, “It is good.”

The Glory of God

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God” (John 11:40 NKJ).

Religious tradition usually teaches us that the glory of God manifests through visions of angels, lights, clouds, and feelings of anointing of the Holy Spirit and His presence. They are basically seeking the spectacular instead of the supernatural experience. There is nothing wrong to these spectacular scenes. However, to a carnal Christian, these manifestations seem to be the ultimate manifestation of the glory of God, but there’s more. There is more than spectacular if we only understand the whole meaning of the glory of God.

There is, however, the manifestation of the glory of God that manifests beyond these spiritual experiences. It is the glory of God the breaks through into the physical world and manifests itself into the physical things and become tangible, earthly, material, physical substance. The ultimate manifestation of God’s glory is when God spoke life to the dead and life came into being. Jesus called a dead man – Lazarus to life, and there was life.

You see, ultimately, the glory of God is that the very presence of God that creates, produces, generates, and bring light and life to the dead. In Him was light. In Him was life. His presence is light and life. When His presence appears in our midst, He gives us His light and His life in every particle of our being, spirit, soul and body. There is that change in our life, change in our being, and change in the behavior of our minds. Therefore, because of these changes, we effect the changes of our environment, the people around us, and the whole earth.

This is the glory of God that natural men have been seeking for. Natural men are tired of listening to too much religious talk. In reality and in all practicality, man has been seeking and searching for a real God. A God that makes sense and a God that connects with his practical daily life. Deep inside of a natural man’s spirit is a cry for help, a longing for a solution to fill in the hollow and dark chamber of his heart.

Jesus gave us the answer for this ultimate quest. Jesus said, “… I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). It was plain and simple offer made by Jesus to all who are seeking and searching the meaning of life. However, men of religious tradition have kept this truth from the heart of men by diluting it with their denominational doctrines along with their unbelief.

One of the blatant lies is a denominational interpretation of the word “abundantly” which they interpreted as “to have a meaningful life”. But the question arises “What do they mean of a meaningful life?” Again, religious tradition forcefully shoved this lies into the throat of a natural man. They use “too much spiritual” lingo that a natural man could not relate to or make sense of. They leave the natural man hanging without answer to the question “What do you mean of a meaningful life?”

Why can’t religious tradition use the word “prosperity” instead of “meaningful life” when in fact it is actually the real meaning of “life abundantly.” Life abundantly is just plain and simple a prosperous life. It is a life that is living and enjoying the super abundance of spiritual, material and physical life. Contextually, prosperity message is part of Jesus’ teaching when He was here on earth. As a matter of fact Jesus is one of the extreme prosperous men who lived on earth during His earthly ministry. He is a prosperous man who teaches and preaches a prosperity message, and people knew it and believe it.

The glory of God is the manifestation of God’s presence breaking through the physical world. When Jesus turned water into wine, it was the Glory of God manifested for they glorified God. When every men and women who received their healings and deliverance from the works of evil, they glorified God. When people saw and experience the signs and wonders of Jesus’ ministry, they glorified God. And when Lazarus came back to life, they glorified God. You see, the glory of God is not limited to feelings of the presence of God, or the visible lights, clouds, lights, angelic beings, and so forth.

Jesus challenged Martha that if she can believe, she will see the glory of God. You see, faith has something to do to be able for us to see and experience the glory of God. Believe is an act of faith. Believe means to receive and to possess what we have in Christ Jesus. In Christ, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. These spiritual blessings are able to manifest in the physical world the moment we believe that we possess them.

These spiritual blessings become real in our life. Living in the glory of God is living in a tangible manifestation of the goodness and excellence of God. We have peace and joy unspeakable in our spirits (hearts). We will never beg for bread because we have God’s financial provision. We stay in divine health because we have divine healing. We are always on top of the world because we are surrounded by God’s favor.

The glory of God is not limited to “spiritual” phenomena, but a reality of God’s physical and material dealing with man through supernatural acts of His hands. Living in poverty and in lack never gives glory to God. But it sure gives glory to the devil for the devil is the thief, the killer and the destroyer of life. Living or to remain in sickness and disease does not glorify God. However, sickness and disease can be use or possible avenue to glorify to God. Because God is the Healer, He will surely heal everyone who suffers from any sickness and diseases, and that glorifies God.

The Old Testament prophets prophesied many times, in various generations, that the whole earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord. It is a prophetic message that will surely come to pass now and in the future. When Jesus, the Son of God became flesh, it was a manifestation of God’s glory. Jesus’ ministry on earth was a manifestation of God’s glory on earth. His message and His acts are the manifestation of the glory of the Father. The apostles’ acts were manifestations of the glory of God, and it continues to this present day forward.

You see, prosperity, healing, deliverance, signs and wonders, baptism in the Holy Spirit, salvation of all men, are tangible supernatural manifestations of the glory of the Lord. It shall come to pass, these prophetic utterance of the Old Testament prophets that the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord. But be advised only those who believe shall see and experience the glory of God. If you don’t believe, you are not going to be bothered.

Glory to God! The whole earth shall be filled with the glory of God.
